Every summer, Jubilee State Park gives our community the incredible gift of nearly 20 acres of blooming sunflowers, and the best part is that they allow everyone to come enjoy them free of charge. Whether you're a photographer, a family making memories, or someone simply looking for a peaceful evening walk, this field has a way of making you slow down and appreciate the beauty around you. I recently photographed a family here, and once again I was reminded why this has become one of my favorite places. As the sun began to set, the golden light filtered through thousands of sunflowers, creating the most breathtaking backdrop. Every direction you looked felt like a painting, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. I'm so thankful to the people who plant, care for, and maintain these fields each year. It takes time, effort, and planning, yet they choose to share that beauty with the rest of us. What a wonderful gift to this community. Sunflowers are beautiful. They could use more signage to get you there and to know where to park. I initially went to the State Park on my gps, but they are actually off of Thousand Dollar Roas. It's definitely something cool to do on a nice sunny day, good photo ops!

The broad field is a nice view and it's a great place to take photos or portraits. Parking is only along the road, and the entrance to the field is easy to miss. Note there are no trails or mazes like some of the commercial farms around the state; this is a nice spot for a quick visit, not spending time.

I don't know if it's a biannual thing for crop rotation or what, but when I visited on September 6, 2024, it was just a soybean field with woods and a fallow field behind it. No sunflowers anywhere to be seen. Looks like it's part of the park's horse trails.
